To Fie’ Lake and Huber Lake

You reach Völs/Fie’ by public bus or by car. There are parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the roundabout at the entry to the village. From here you hike in the direction of Obervöls/Fie’ di Sopra and follow hiking path no. 1 to Fie’ Lake. This is a bathing lake with good facilities: entry via small wooden bridges, bars, restaurants and sanitary facilities, and there’s also a boat rental. At the shore near Hotel Waldsee you also find a playground and a volleyball court. On the opposite shore you’ll find a water basin for simple water treatments according to Sebastian Kneipp. The so-called Kneipp cures like water stepping, arm baths, infusions, etc. have been successfully used for the stimulation of circulation and strengthening of the immune system since 1880. Water stepping on warm summer days has a very agreeable effect. From Fie’ Lake a forest path leads to the upper lake within a few minutes. This lake is not used as a bathing lake and is therefore less visited. The lake enjoys a beautiful location surrounded by a forest and offering a comfortable round hike. The forest road leading up from the lower lake turns into a wide forest path leading to Tuffalm below Sciliar Mountain. You can also drive near the lakes from St. Anton near Völs/Fie’ on an asphalt road leading to the spacious, unwatched car parks (1065). Car park for a fee. LED lights on the ascent road inform you of the remaining number of parking spaces, since in summer and on bank holidays the lake is often visited by numerous people. From the car parks you reach the first lake within only a few minutes.
